Ground Breaking for our new Chapel...

Our Chapel has been enlarged.. and were going to dedicate it tomorrow.. we'll have a Potluck afterwards, there will be alot of the stake people there from Gilmer Texas .. where our Stake is. Alot of them come up in the summer and on holidays to fish at Broken Bow Lake.. We are just a small Branch and so We're going to have to work hard to fill the new Chapel..

I'm making my salsa bread and a burrito tray.. the theme is Spanish .. we're so excited about it.. We've had several Baptisms lately .. so maybe its a good sign.. Inclosed is some pics of the ground breaking last spring.. will post pics of the Chapel later

Young women's lesson

Today i taught a lesson on Each is Divine and Eternal..the lesson taught that each one of us are Divine and Eternal.. We are all children of God and we should love each other regardless of race social standing ..We should reach out to them who are less fortunate than us, and make them feel loved and wanted..I held up my hand and told the girls that it represents our spirit and then put on a glove and had them put one on. They were all different colors..I Had a old raggedy dirty one I use in gardening which I put on. We discussed the difference in the gloves color, size etc representing our mortal body.. I had them hold up the hand with the glove and then held my up and moved in close to them ... I asked them how they felt about the dirty glove ,and if they could be friends and associate with this person.. they all said no.. they didn't think so..then I passed out scriptures to them one was 1st Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance,or on the height of his stature;because I have not refused him;For the LORD"seeth not as man seeth ;for man look on the out ward appearance ,But the LORD looketh on the heart.. It was a great lesson and my girls feel the spirit of the lesson.. I have a strong testimony of the gospel.. and I know the book of Mormon is true and Jesus died on the cross for us..We should all wonder when we see a person who is dirty and looks unclean, What is in his heart and how he reached that point in life and give them a big smile and say hello .. If we never see them again they'll always remember that act of kindness. and it may be a turning point in their lives.. I myself have experienced this .. and I'm still thankful to those people who were outgoing and giving to me..It was a beautiful lesson. By the way in my last post I said I beared my testimony in church .. I mean't I bore my testimony.. Senior moment.. love to all my Children And May God Bless You in All you do.. Mom ,Grams

From Momma Flo

Hi Toni... I see your busy as always.. I've been busy since my trip tp calif.. where i was sealed in the San diego Temple for ime and all eternity .. My daughter Toni and her husband Norm acted as proxy for my mom and dad it was a really beautiful and spiritual expierence.. I'm so thankful to my family.Iloves you all, loves MOM

Welcome!

Hi everyone!

Since we are all now scattered across the globe, I thought it would be nice for us to have a central gathering place to keep in touch. Each family member and his or her children can post to this blog--if you haven't been set up yet it's because I don't have your email address, so drop me a line and I'll hook you up.

It's time for a roll call!

Everyone please submit an entry and tell us how you are, and what you're up to. Pictures, too, please! This is me and Norm with Mom at the temple when she was sealed to her mom and dad.

I'll start. I now have three grandkids, and it's great!

I'm teaching an institute class on the Book of Mormon, am helping to plan the Christmas concert for our stake,  and I'm trying to finish a play about Asenath (wife of Joseph who was sold into Egypt) to be produced in the Spring.

How about you?
